480,000-square-foot addition more than doubles size of facility

MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 8, 2018-- Graco Inc.(NYSE:GGG), a leading manufacturer of fluid handling equipment, announces its plans to expand its David A. Koch Center facility in Rogers, Minnesota. The facility, named after the Company’s former President, CEO and Chairman, is the worldwide headquarters for its Contractor Equipment Division. This project will add 480,000 square feet to the existing 316,000-square-foot manufacturing, office and product development facility. Graco expects to break ground later this month and will continue its current operations in the space throughout the project, which is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2019.

“To say the City of Rogers is excited for the Graco expansion is an understatement. Council and staff have worked hard alongside Graco to help make the project a reality and it will represent the single largest construction project in our city’s history in both size and value,” said Rick Ihli, Mayor of the City of Rogers. “We are proud Graco has chosen to expand and invest in Rogers, and we look forward to the partnership with Graco for many years to come.”

Graco’s Koch Center facility currently employs more than 450 people, and the expansion is projected to create 84 new jobs there over the next four years. The additional space will increase manufacturing, office, research and development capacity as well as add a training facility. In addition to the David A. Koch Center, Graco operates a distribution facility in Rogers, which employs more than 160 people.

“We develop products with proven quality and leading technology, and our growth is allowing us to build this world-class facility. Upon completion of the project, we will be opening the doors to our state-of-the-art training center for distributors and customers from around the globe,” said Dale Johnson, President of Graco’s Worldwide Contractor Equipment Division. “Thank you to the City of Rogers, Hennepin County and the State of Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development for their assistance in making this expansion a reality.”

Graco is currently collaborating on this project with general contractor Mortenson Construction and architectural services firm RSP Architects. Supporting services will be provided by MCE Engineers, Erickson Roed, Tegra Group and Rehder.
